Step one

Let’s chat about your current jewellery

We offer free, no-obligation consultations, whether in person, via video, or over the phone. This is your opportunity to share the details of your sentimental jewellery and ideas for a new design. We encourage you to provide any inspirational images or videos that capture styles or details you admire. These will help us bring your vision to life.

Once we’ve gathered your responses, we’ll start creating initial designs. A design fee of £250 is required before we begin, but don’t worry—this deposit will be deducted from the final cost if you decide to proceed with your order.

Step two

Choosing Your Design

Each remodelling project begins with hand-drawn sketches, created with meticulous attention to detail. Our designs are based on your inspiration, style preferences, and vision. We’ll provide you with 6-8 unique, customisable sketches. At this stage, you can make as many changes as needed to ensure your new piece is exactly what you have envisioned.

At this stage, you can select your favourite design or request modifications to ensure every detail aligns perfectly with your vision. Individual quotes for each design will be provided, tailored to your chosen budget. We collaborate with you every step of the way, refining the design until it meets your expectations and you’re completely satisfied before moving forward.

Careful jewellery assessment

We carefully assess your existing jewellery, expertly dismantling it to remove stones and separate different metals. You will receive a full report on the inventory of gemstones and metals

At this stage, we can determine what materials will be used in the new design. This process is handled in-house by Amy, a professionally trained goldsmith.

Step four

Visualise Every Angle

Once your preferred design is selected, we’ll bring it to life through detailed and realistic computer renderings. Amy Jennifer Jewellery will create CAD (computer-aided design) drawings of your bespoke piece, allowing you to visualise its proportions and view it in 3D.

To ensure every detail meets your expectations, you’ll also have the option to see your design as a wax prototype before we proceed with production. This additional step offers a tangible preview of your piece, giving you complete confidence in the final result.

Step five

Creating Your Final Piece

Once the final design is approved, we begin crafting your bespoke jewellery. This process typically takes 4–6 weeks and involves precision techniques such as casting the 3D print in your chosen metal, meticulous cleaning and polishing, expert gemstone setting, and hallmarking at the Birmingham or London Assay Office.

We keep you informed every step of the way, providing updates on the progress and delivery timelines. Upon completion, you’ll receive professional photographs and videos of your finished piece. You can then arrange a viewing appointment at our studio or opt for secure, expedited shipping directly to your doorstep.

How much does jewellery remodelling cost?

Our remodelling designs typically start from £2,000, however this is completely dependent on gemstones, settings and metal types. We recommend contacting us to tell us about your heirloom jewellery so we can provide you with multiple options that fit your budget.

Can I use my gold to make new jewellery?

Short answer - Yes! We can melt down and remodel your gold (or other precious metal) to create your new jewellery. If you don’t want to reuse your gold in a remodelled piece, we’ll exchange it for an AJJ voucher to put towards the project.

How long does it take to remodel jewellery?

We recommend allowing between 6 and 12 weeks from initial drawings to the finished piece. Please bear in mind that during busier periods we may not be able to start your project straight after your consultation.

If you have a specific deadline or tight timeframe, let us know as soon as possible. This allows us to provide an accurate delivery estimate and do our best to accommodate your needs.

Previous remodelled ring designs

I lost the diamond out of my engagement ring. I’ve been married for 37 years and my engagement ring was my husbands grandmothers. It was over 100 years old and I really should have had the claws checked. I still had the ring and two out of the three diamonds. After the initial upset I saw an opportunity to put my own stamp on my ring. I contacted Amy, and my husband and I met at her studio. We worked on a design together, then my mother in law was able to come with us on a second visit and help choose the new diamond ( the ring had originally been her mothers) Throughout the process Amy was so lovely, kind, professional and gave us wonderful practical advice. She worked closely with us to design the most beautiful ring, both at her studio and online, helped us choose a replacement diamond, had a wax model made up and then, using the gold and the two diamonds from the original ring with an extra ( and slightly larger!! ) new diamond made my stunning new ring.

I love the way my ring is still my old ring but is to my design and how I was able to include close family in the process. It will forever be special to me and I absolutely love it. I can’t thank her enough for making it such a lovely experience. I would definitely recommend her.
