Christine treasured the wedding rings she shared with her late husband, each a symbol of their enduring love. After years of keeping them safe, she decided it was time to transform these precious pieces into a ring she could wear every day, keeping her husband’s memory close to her heart.

Christine brought me two wedding bands—one in 18K rose gold and one in 18K yellow gold—and two engagement rings. One featured an 18K yellow gold band, while the other, her upgraded ring, was in 18K white gold with a 1ct diamond. To preserve the warm tones of yellow and rose gold, we decided not to use the white gold but carefully repurposed its diamonds for the new design.

Together, we explored design options that would celebrate the legacy of her love story. Christine shared examples of styles she loved and described how she envisioned the final ring. Using her input, I created designs thatm incorporated the rose and yellow gold from her wedding bands, ensuring the two tones harmonised beautifully.

Once Christine chose her favourite design, I began the delicate process of crafting the new ring. I carefully removed the diamonds, melted down the gold, and kept the colours separate to preserve their integrity. Using traditional goldsmithing techniques, I ensured that every part of the ring was created from her original pieces, without mixing in any additional metals.

The result is a beautiful new ring that Christine can now wear every day. It celebrates her love story, keeps her cherished memories alive, and carries the legacy of their bond into the future.
