Lynsey dreamed of the perfect engagement ring, one that would capture her love story with Tom in a timeless design. In early 2024, they reached out to me, ready to turn that dream into reality.
Lynsey already had some design ideas in mind and had spoken to several jewellers, searching for the perfect designer and, of course, the perfect diamond. Tom had proposed with a ‘stand-in’ ring, knowing Lynsey would want to be involved in designing the final piece—a thoughtful gesture that made the journey even more special.
Lynsey knew that she wanted a 1ct brilliant-cut solitaire in platinum, a true classic. But she also wanted a ring that was uniquely hers. After considering different options, she chose AJJ to bring her vision to life.
We crafted the ring in platinum with a stunning 1ct brilliant-cut diamond, graded H in colour and VVS2 in clarity. To make this classic design truly unique, we used compass-style claws, positioning the prongs at N, S, E, and W on the diamond for a contemporary twist. We also added a hidden diamond bridge beneath the central setting, visible from both sides, an elegant surprise detail that makes the ring even more special.
It was truly an honour to be a part of Lynsey and Tom’s journey to forever. Congratulations to the happy couple! I can’t wait to continue this beautiful story by designing their wedding bands.
